Beinn Eighe Reserve

Just outside Kinlochewe is the Beinn Eighe mountain reserve. It has a visitor centre and two very well maintained trails that both pass through the remains of the great Caledonian forest. The views from the top of the mountain trail over Loch Maree and Wester Ross are absolutely stunning.

Kyle of Lochalsh Railway Line

The Kyle of Lochalsh Line is a single track railway line in the Scottish Highlands, running from Dingwall to Kyle of Lochalsh. The route is sparsely populated, but the scenery is beautiful and dramatic. The journey from Inverness to Kyle was featured in Michael Palin’s ‘Great Railway Journeys of the World’ (1980).
